Entirely Text-Based Game - The Sea Eternal

Well, a game we’re here to talk about today is actually a complete opposite of a graphically demanding title, it’s entirely text-based. Sounds odd for a game? Well, it is, in a way. Anyhow, let’s see what’s what, shall we?

The game in question is called ‘The Sea Eternal’, and this is technically a text-based interactive fantasy novel, and it was written by Lynnea Glasser. Now, the ‘text-based’ might sound odd to some of you, but chances are most of you have played similar games in the past. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get a far better idea of what this game looks like. The whole point is the story, which is really good according to reviews. The game consists out of 283,000 words, and there are no graphics or sounds effects included here, this novel / game is expected to let your imagination run free in a way. There are multiple endings in this game (10, to be exact), and the story will depend on your choices throughout the game. This basically throws you in a fictional underwater world where you’ll encounter mermaids, mermen and other merfolk, all of which are full of secrets. The thing is, the characters are actually immortal, which gives the story a rather interesting spin.

Text-based games might not be for everyone, there's really no need to play on any other device or playing on PC using Android emulator unless you've got a itchy finger, that much is certain, but if you’re into such games and like to read fictional novels, this game might be just right for you. Not only does it contain a really intriguing story, but it will also let you take part in it.
